Busy, busy, busy,busy,busy,busy

Ok I am almost completely moved in with Jim. There are still several things to move but we will take our time and not stress over that.

Thanksgiving was really a wonderful day even after all the cooking I did have help this year. Jim cooked the turkeys in the smoker, and Deb made all of my pie crusts for me, Gerry (her husband) made the Dr. Pepper Ham. He places the ham in a cooking bag, puts on the pineapples and cherries and cloves then pours in 2 liters of dr pepper, a quart of orange juice, cherry juice and pineapple juice, seals the bag and lets it bake for the time needed. I want you to know it turns out wonderful. Anyway my sons and their families were here, Jim's daughter and son and their families, my mother, and one of Jim's batchlor friends, as well as my Cedrick and my new great grandaughter. Hunter and Mighty Mouse immeadiately adopted her and went into protection mode each of them taking a side of the cradle to guard. They didn't want Ced and Kiki to take her home and kinda grumbled when they started to bundle her up for the trip home.

Jim and I rested Friday and then Saturday we as in Jim and me loaded his bedroom furniture up on his truck and took it to his son. Then we went to my house in town and with the help of my sons and Jim's son we loaded up his truck and my truck with my bedroom furniture and several boxes of my clothes and moved it here. The guys set up the bedroom for us. Then Sunday Bobby and Pat brought out my Christmas decorations.

Well guys I miss all of you and I thought I would give you a brief update. (((((HUGS)))))) S

The weather outside is frightful

Yep folks it's snowing, and the wind is blowing about 35 mph, at least the temps aren't sub zero yet, but the wind chill would say that is a lie. I was supposed to go into town today to sign the papers for closing on the sale of my rental property, but I'm a whimp and called the folks and rescheduled for later in the week. I'm kinda proud of the deal I negociated on the house, I managed to look out for my tenants with the deal as well as get the price I was asking. The agreement papers were signed last week now just to meet with the title company to transfer title and collect the money. That means 2 headaches gone, no rental property to maintain and I will pay off the silver bullet (the big pickup truck I drive). As well as have a few dollars in the bank and do some power Christmas shopping. ((((hugs)))) S

Back in the Groove (hopefully)

Well Guys, I finally have my AOL loaded onto Jim's computer, (I don't like Jim's computer) so maybe I can get back into reading your blogs and making an occasional comment. Thanks for being concerned about me. We are slowly but surely getting my stuff moved in, we now have my living room furniture moved in and arranged, some of my yard furniture is also moved, this saturday will be the bedroom stuff. The guys out here are joking about why they have to give away their stuff when we girls move in. Well quite frankly (in Jim's case at least and I suspect the rest of this group of guys) there is no taste envolved in their decorating styles. Jim was using dining room chairs for end/lamp tables. His king size bed is using a full size comfortor. The soap in the guest bath room is a bar of Lava soap. Do I make my point here? The lady that comes into clean every week has already commented on how much nicer and more fun it is to clean now and can't wait for the rest of my things to be in place.

Abby's mom was out for the first time since her surgery, she is looking well and feeling so much better, but the poor little thing only weights 89 lbs now. But she is starting to get her appetite back.

My Mother had eye surgery last week, so please keep her in your prayers and good thoughts. She is doing well and will be able to be out here for the coming holiday.

That's it for now guys. (((((HUGS)))))

Sorry Guys

Sorry everyone, but I have been out to Jim's all of this time, first getting ready for the big Halloween party that turned out wonderfully BTW, and then helping to pack up and get rid of a lot of his things to get ready to move my things out there. I do have pictures of the party to post but I left the CD with the pics at Jim's so I couldn't load them to post (another sorry). But I will get that done this week. Then this is a big one my new Great Grand Daughter was born. Araya Lynn made her appearance on the 3rd of November 5lb 9oz 18 inches long. She is so beautiful with a head full of gorgeous black hair, and so tiny you can barely feel her as she lays in your arms with those beautiful eyes taking in her surroundings. She wasn't due to arrive until the 15th but was breach so they did an emergency 'C' section. So the blanket I've been crocheting for her has been another of my priorities. I am almost half finished with that. Then there is more baby news my son Jamie and his wife Kendra announced they are expecting this one will be in June. If it is a boy his name will be Nathaniel III since Nathaniel one and two are no longer with us. If the child decides to be a girl she will be Joanna Noel. And Walker I would not elope without telling you. Jim and I do plan a wedding next year sometime. It will be a real wedding with bridesmaids and all the trimmings. And an Alaskan cruise for a honeymoon. Well that's it for today, I hope to be able to post more often now. (((((HUGS))))) S
